After her commercial apprenticeship, Karin worked at Siemens AG as a team assistant. She also worked at Migros, one of the biggest grocers in Switzerland, and was part of their Project "Strangers in Paradise" at their EXPO Pavilion in Biel.

Subsequently, Karin joined CWS-boco Suisse SA as an assistant to the executive board. Prior to joining Boyden, she worked as a paralegal.
